Wired Records latest addition is Cody Robert Simpson .
Cody was born on the Gold Coast , Australia on
January 11 , 1997 .
Cody first picked up a guitar at age 6 ,
and immediately started strumming and singing songs .
He wrote his first song at the tender age of 8 ,
and it became very evident to his music teacher .
Over the past four years , 
Cody has continued to hone with his musical gifts and ,
today he is even more passionate about playing the 
guitar , singing , and writing songs .
Just a few months ago ,
he decided that he was ready to share his music
with the rest of the world ,
and he told his mum that he was going
to post some clips on youtube .
He told her dad , he was going to be discovered .
While his mum had a good chuckle to herself ,
within weeks , he reiceved a message from ,
Wired Partner , Shawn Campbell .
Cody's major influences in the music industry have come
from Justin Timberlake , Michael Jackson , Pete Murray ,
Jack Jonhson and his music teacher , Ram Sefer .
Cody's other passions include surfing and you
can often find him catching some big waves 
along the Australian Coast .
He is also an accomplished athlete and in fact ,
he has broken multiple all time state 
swimming records and is the fastest kid ever
in Australian history in the 5om Butterfly .
